Itinerary

Day 1Fez/ Ifrane/ Ziz Valley/ Sahara Desert

In today’s adventure, you will cross the Atlas Mountains which begin with the great cedar forest. The ever varied landscape will amaze you since you are opting for this Morocco desert experience. The first place that is made in your visit is Ifrane, a tiny and ordered city that gives you the impression of relocating in Switzerland, for its red roofed-houses and lake parks. After that, we resume the drive into the Middle Atlas Mountains to arrive at Ziz Valley, a valley known for the production of dates, its Oued Ziz which vitalizes the region and gives a watchful eye landscape for the valley. This day ends saddling a camel attending a desert sunset in the desert camp where you will spend the night.

Day 2Sahara Desert at Your Leisure

Having spent a night in the rose-gold sand dunes of Erg Chebbi is what a desert experience is about. In this special day, a slow paced adventure is starting since that you will spend the whole day is a deserted area enjoying the sky, family nomads living in tents, and some Gnaoua music along the way to the most serene place in Southern Morocco. During this day, you will also be invited to enjoy a dust-up 4WD around the desert of Erg Chebbi.

Day 3Sahara desert/ Todra gorges/ Dades gorges

After having an absolutely Saharan breakfast, your desert tour leads on to the trail of 1000 Kasbahs. On the way, we will make a stop in Rissani, for you, to see how commodities are being exchanged back in the times of camel caravans. Then, we continue to discover one of the most ancient underground irrigation systems (Khettaras) used in arid areas by means of preserving water from evaporation since there is a huge need for water resources in those desert areas. In a while, we will arrive at Todra Gorges, a massive fault dividing the High Atlas & Sarhro Mountains, where you will be just amazed by how this 18km drive in-between is just iconic. Closely, we will make it at Dades Gorges, another mountainous drive with dazzling views of mud brick Kasbahs and fig trees before arriving at the sneaky pass of Dades Gorges.

Day 4Dades Gorges/ Boutghrar/ Valley of Roses/ Ouarzazate

After a short break in Dades Gorges, we continue off-roading to Bouthghrar to explore the wild life of Berber nomads living in caves, for you to sip tea and experience their authentic way of life. Then, we continue to Kelaat M’gouna( the Valley of Roses) where you see natural rose distillery & to visit the famous Amrhidil Kasbah in the famous palm grove of Skoura which was used as a trail for camel caravans trading in gold and spices, either heading to the Sahara desert or to Fez. Arrival in Ouarzazate we stay for the night.

Day 5Ouarzazate/ Ait Ben Haddou/ High Atlas Mountains/ Marrakech

Today’s adventure is more enjoyable for the drive through the photogenic Atlas Mountains, crossing Tizi N’Tishka mountainous pass (2260m). On the way, we will have the chance to walk in the most typical Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. In this pinkish sandstone hill is famously used for film making, Gladiator, Vikings, Babel and so many other movies and series. Driving through these roads will just make hungry as possible so we stop for lunch in the High Atlas Mountains where you will enjoy eating Moroccan food in mountain scenery.
