After breakfast, you meet your driver/guide to start a 3 day trip from Marrakech to Fes including a night in the Desert. Through the way, we drive through the photogenic Atlas Mountains, crossing Tizi N’Tishka mountainous pass (2260m), to arrive to the most typical Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, which was declared as a UNESCO World Heritage in 1987. In this pinkish sandstone hill is famously used for film making, Gladiator, Vikings, Babel and so many other movies and series. Driving through these roads will just make hungry as possible; your driver will stop in Ouarzazate for lunch and for a visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt and discover its famous movie musuems. Along the trail of 1000 Kasbas, you will such picturesque valleys of roses and figues. Late in the afternoon, you will arrive at your Riad for the night- Dinner & Breakfast included.
Today’s special experience will make you fascinated by the culture and lifestyle of Southern nomad people of Morocco. Along the journey deep the desert, you will visit Todra Gorges (600m ft high). Then, half the way, we will make a stop at an old underground irrigation system( Khettaras) to see how people for many centuries used some underground watering technique to preserve water from evaporating as the region looks arid dry. Ending the day’s tour by a camel trek into the deluxe tents where you will spend the night and have dinner with local party music.
Toady’s marvellous experience starts by waking up very early to attend the sunrise in the vast golden and rust dunes of the Sahara desert. Having a shower before breakfast is such a good idea as the weather in the desert is a little hot, dry and arid. We head to Rissani to visit its markets which are famous for very smelly spices. Then, we stop at the famous Ziz valley near the village of Aoufouss to discover its mountainous landscapes and dates before arriving in Ifrane, Morocco’s Switzerland, to have lunch and relax a bit. Ending the trip by making it in Fes, where the first university in the world was founded- the University of Karueein in 859 A.D, transfer to your accommodation.
