Over the Southern side of the High Atlas Mountains lies pinkish mud-walled fortress of Kasbah of Ait ben Haddou. The village of Ait Ben Haddou is located upon a low hillside overlooking the usually-dry riverbed. Away from Ouarzazate in a distance of 29km (18 miles), Ait Ben Haddou Ksors or Kasbahs traces a 11th century decorated with defensive walls ksar that strategically outlines important for the caravan trade passing from Telout down to Timbiktu and deep in the Sahara. In late 1970’s, The Kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou were used for many movie shooting as Operation Red Sea( 2018), The Sheltering Sky( 1990), Babel( 2006), Gladiator( 2000), The Mummy( 1999), and Parts of the famous TV series Game of Thrones and Prison Break.
